When travelling, whether for business or for leisure, most people prefer the convenience of driving themselves to the airport rather than using a cab service or any other means. However, this comes with various other inconveniences such as finding a place to leave your car while you are away and worrying for its safety till you come back. Options when it comes to airport parking are quite a number and all vary in convenience and cost. Therefore, choosing a parking option can be hellish as you deliberate on whether the amenities offered are worth your buck. I, however, always go with valet parking.
Valet parking, which may also be called meet and greet parking involves driving your car to a reception or pre-agreed point, where you give your keys to a driver (also known as a valet) to take it to a designated parking spot and to keep your keys for you. When you return from your trip, a valet will be assigned to bring your car back to the rendezvous point, or someplace nearby, where you can pick it from. This is unlike self-parking options where you navigate and such for a parking spot yourself and keep the keys with you as you travel.
I’m an advocate for airport valet parking for a myriad of reasons, though many people avoid it as it tends to be on the more expensive end of the spectrum. However, I do not always go with airport valet parking just because I enjoy splashing money on unnecessary luxuries. On the contrary, I fervently believe in getting value for money in everything I pay for. So, what makes me believe that valet parking is value for money?
Airport Valet Parking Saves You Time
It is easy to spend hours navigating the maze that is Sydney airport parking international, especially if you have never been to the airport before. Valet parking, however, allows for you to drop of your car and keys at a central point, usually close by your terminal, and hurry on into the airport without worrying about wasting time looking for parking. This especially comes in handy if you are late to the airport or travelling by night. The hassles of looking for a parking then finding your own way to the terminal can be a headache sometimes.
Guaranteed Car Safety
Many people tend to be reluctant to trust someone they do not know with their car – and rightfully so. However, most valet parking services are offered by companies that are fully insured and reputable. Valets are well-trained professionals with the necessary skill set needed to ably drive. Valet parking spaces also have amenities such as 24-hour CCTV surveillance and security on the ground patrolling the parking day in and day out. You can therefore be sure that your car is in safe and capable hands and any damages and losses can be reimbursed through insurance policies.
Premium Services And Amenities
Many valet parking companies offer additional services that make the service even more worth it. These services include car wash, detailing and oil changes, all at a small additional fee. You can therefore be sure that you will find your car in an even better state than when you left it.
These are just some of the reasons that I always opt for airport valet parking. Though it may be more expensive, it is definitely worth every cent. This is as compared to self-parking which though may be cheaper comes with a number of inconveniences that offset the balance of pros and cons. Thus, I would recommend that you try airport valet parking next time. You may find that it is just what you needed to make your travels less stressful.
